Friends Again

When we first moved to this area, Elley and I met some pretty neat friends.....Erin and Ava. Elley and Ava are pretty close in age and they got along well, so well that we started getting together once a week and called it playgroup. Our small little playgroup of 2 quickly turned into 3, and then a month later turned into 5.....5 little girls. A lot has changed since then, our friends had to move away and playgroup has turned into all boys....except for Elley and Molly. (but even that will change in the next few months)
This past weekend, our friends came here for a visit. It was so fun to see them, we hope they will come back "home" soon. Ava was able to spend one day with us while her parents got a few things done. Elley and Ava played, and played, and played. It was so fun to see these two two year olds interact all day. They colored, blew bubbles, played princesses, built a fort, and played dress up. It was a fun, fun day.....and all with no fighting!
Here are some pictures of Elley and Ava. The first 2 are almost 2 years ago and the other 2 are from this past weekend.

This is the night Elley and I went over to say goodbye.....SAD!

The 4th

We had a pretty fun, relaxing 4th of July. My sister-in-law's family invited us to spend the day with them. BBQ, swimming, family, friends, and fireworks....what more could you ask for?

8 months

Molly is now 8 months old....what a big girl! She is now crawling around and is cutting her first tooth. She is such a sweet baby. I really couldn't of asked for better. Here are 2 pictures of my girls. The first is Molly at 8 months and the second is Elley at the same age. I think they look so different....like sisters, but so different.

Cards, Cards, and more Cards

My friend Kim is having a little girl next month and my other friend Brittney and I are putting on a baby shower for her, which we are so excited about. We had 2 packs of 10 shower invitations and Kim's list had 24 people. So, instead of going and getting another pack only to use 4 of them, I handmade those 4. The next day Brittney came over and after seeing the 4 handmade ones, we decided to make ALL of them. Brittney and I both like making cards so it was really no big deal. That afternoon, while the kids played, we had so much fun making these cards. I think they turned out cute, cuter than anything I could find in the stores.
Here are some pictures of our project. Thanks Brittney for a fun afternoon, and thanks Kim for having a girl!
