Our trip to Arizona

Four days after we came home from Leavenworth Adam, Elley and I went on a trip to Arizona to see our good friend David and his wife Whitney. We had such a fun time being on vacation and seeing the sights, but we were most excited about seeing our old friend David and meeting his new wife. Thanks guys for such a fun trip. We love you and miss you already.

I love my Daddy

We also had a chance to see our good friends the Kents. This is Elley with their oldest daughter. Jason took some good pictures of all the girls.....my camera's batteries went dead. You'll just have to check out Becca's blog to see those.

David took us on a hike to Superstitious Mountain (I hope I got that name right)

This is David......he is a very good sleeper. I have never laughed so hard in my life. David had fallen asleep and Adam and I couldn't resist the opportunity to play a little joke.

Elley loves her cousin Jordan

While in Leavenworth we got to see family that we haven't seen since Elley was about 3 months old. Elley really took to her cousin Jordan. Here are some pictures of them playing peek a boo.

Elley's new thing is giving loves. This is Elley loving Jordan

Our trip to Leavenworth

Here I am actually going off
a jump that Adam and Andrew built
outside Grandma and Grandpa's house. I think
this is right before I fell.
This is what our dogs look like after we let them go outside

Christmas

I can not believe it's January 11th 2008. A year ago I was about ready to POP!! That's right....I can't believe that Elley is almost one.......but before I get to that, here is what happened in December.

Obviously Christmas was in December. We had a nice quite Christmas....just Adam, Elley, Andrew (Adam's brother) and I. In fact Adam had to work on Christmas eve and Christmas night, which was okay because we had him home for the morning. I think Elley had a fun time opening her gifts but really was only interested in the Snickers bar and Scope mouth wash that was in my stocking. She carried those two things around all morning and I still use the Scope to distract her sometimes. Here are some pictures of Christmas morning. Notice the bottle of Scope in Elley's hand.

What is wrong with our computer???

For about a month now our computer has been acting really strange. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't......and sometimes it runs really really slow. That's the worst....when it runs really really slow. I just get so frustrated that I end up turning it off and then coming back to it later. When the internet is working I try and get the most important stuff done......mainly bills, and keep putting off blogging. Well, here I am.....I'm not putting it off any longer. Besides I have to blog about our holidays and the places we have been.

Baby Sign Language

I have an email that comes to me each week called Baby Center newsletter (I think that's what its called) Anyway, it's a week by week update on how my baby should or could be developing. It also talks about baby safety, baby sickness, being a mom, just a bunch of stuff. I actually started to get it when I was pregnant. Week by week it talked about the developing baby. Well, every week at the end of the email there is always something funny and I thought this baby sign language was cute. Elley has all of these signs down....especially the "please change my diaper" sign. Hope you all enjoy this as much as I did!!!!

Your baby can learn sign language!

Here's how to say:

• "Please change my diaper": Turn beet red and make straining expression, then smile.
• "I'd like something to eat, please": Cram fist in mouth and suck wildly.
• "I'm tired": Make a series of weeping gestures before closing eyes and lolling head backward.
• "Please pass me that thing up there that I can't reach": Point and grunt, then continue pointing and open mouth into screaming position.
• "No thank you, I think I've had enough": Throw food or object to floor with exaggerated grin.

Burrrrrrr.......it's cold out here
Last weekend Mason, Hannah, and Mara came over to spend the night with their Aunt Keely. We had such a good time!!!! It was kind of a kick off to the Holiday season. Friday night we stayed up and watched Unaccompanied Minors, which is a movie that takes place during the Christmas break. It's about a bunch of kids that are trying to fly places for their Christmas vacation but a storm quickly blows in and all flights are delayed until further notice. Anyway, it was a cute movie and we had fun watching it.
Then Saturday we all bundled up and went to the Winter Wonderland Parade here in town. We also met Elley's friend Ava and her mom there. It was so cold......we put lots of layers on and took about 5 blankets. It wasn't so bad when we got out of the car and walked to our place, but when we stopped to watch the hour long parade it got a little cold! Elley got a little board toward the end and Mason, Hannah, and Mara were cold but nobody was complaining on the way home when they were eating all the yummy holiday candy they got from the parade. After that we all went to our house and had hot chocolate to warm us up.
We all had a fun weekend!!!!! I love living so close to family giving us so many chances to be together. Thanks for come to visit your Aunt Keely Mason, Hannah, and Mara....I Love You!!!
