We Miss Our Maggie

Thank you Aunt Maggie for the fun Birthday gifts. Aunt Maggie always keeps Elley dressed in the cutest clothes. From the time she was born Maggie has pick some of the best outfits. For Elley's 2nd birthday Maggie sent her this cute dress and some shoes to match. When Elley opened the package she held the dress up to her and said, "oh, cute!" Thank you Aunt Maggie for keeping Elley in style and adding to her addiction of shoes!!!

Elley also loves her new MP3 player. She dances around to the music while saying, "mommy, daddy watch!"
And yes, those are scissors in her hands, she wanted to do it herself. She is very independent!

This is a picture we made to show Aunt Maggie how much we love her and miss her!

St. Patty's Pie

Molly, Elley, and I went on a little road trip to see my sister last week. The week before that Elley and I were both sick with some type of stomach flu. We thought we were all better but we guessed wrong. We left on a Saturday night from our house and then came home from her house on Monday night. Originally, we were going to stay with them until Thursday but by Monday half the family had gotten sick. Monday night I packed the girls in the car and headed home.....just in time for St. Patrick's Day! I went shopping Tuesday morning for corn beef and cabbage. While at the store Elley and I decided that we were going to make a St. Patty's Day pie for daddy. Elley was a big helper and was so excited to show her daddy what she had done. Here is a picture of a proud Elley with daddy and Molly!

Mommy Elley Part 2

I guess Elley is just to busy during the day to sit down and nurse her baby.
sorry about the darkness...the flash is broken on our camera.

I Was Wrong

I thought I put the eggs far enough away from the edge.......

I guess not!
One moment out of the room and I have eggs on the floor.

Mommy Elley

Every time I sit down to feed Molly, I have Little Miss Elley right next to me with her doll. I think I have mentioned before that Elley "nurses" her babies. The other night when I was feeding Molly, Elley had to do the same. She lifts her shirt and everything. Sometimes she even gets a pillow and puts it under her arm. What a good little mommy.

Yogurt

Elley is such a helpful little girl. It's painful sometimes to let her be a big girl and "help" me. For example.....after I'm done giving a haircut she knows that it's time to sweep. So, she goes and gets the broom and dust pan for me. She tries to sweep herself and then hands me the broom and says, "mommy do it." After I sweep everything up she wants to hold the dust pan and wants to walk it to the garbage. I know this is a very important step in her development, but come on, it's much faster and cleaner if I do it myself.
The other day Molly was playing on the floor and I put Elley at the table with some yogurt. I had to go into the other room for just a minute when I heard Elley getting into the bibs. When I came out she had a bib in her hand and she said, "mommy, baby bib." This whole time I hear Molly in the background smacking her lips, which I thought was her sucking on her hands. Elley was getting a bib for Molly because she was feeding Molly the yogurt. Good thing I was only out if the room for a minute. Molly seemed to like the yogurt and Elley was proud of herself for being a big help, although.....we did have a talk about babies and how they only drink milk.
