She's FOUR!!!

I can't believe it's taken me so long to blog about this beautiful girl. We celebrated 4 years of this little girl back in November, and we partied, because this girl deserved it!

Molly has a special place in our family. She keeps us all laughing, all the time. Most people think she is a quiet, shy, cute little blond haired, blue eyed girl. But, those who know her well, know that she is not shy and she is not quiet....although, she is a cute little blond haired, blue eyed girl...that part is true!!!

Molly is full of wit, sass, and is extremely funny. She's even got a little sarcastic side to her. She makes me smile!

These pictures were taken on her actual birthday, her party wasn't until the next day. Just a little side note, the owl shirt she has on is her favorite shirt of all time. It was actually given to Elley and has since been passed down. It's getting kind of ratty, but she loves it. The Hello Kitty has now become her new favorite shirt....thank goodness!!!

Molly had a few friends over for her party. We had lunch, played a few games, and had cupcakes. She was also spoiled by her friends with all the cool gifts she got.

Her Grandma and Grandpa gave her some birthday money this year, and ever since Elley went to Build-A-Bear for her last birthday, Molly has wanted the same. She spent every last penny!

Making a wish and giving it a kiss!

Elley brought along her Hello Kitty she got last year. I love these 2 little girls.

This is a total random picture but its one of my favorites! I hope Molly truly knows how much her dad loves her. My girls have the BEST dad. He's protective, loving, and gentle. He treats them like little ladies but is not afraid to kick a soccer ball around with them or wrestle. He is the best!!!

She Likes Me!

Elley goes to a year round school. She has two 3 week breaks during the school year and a little shorter of a summer. So far we love it, but we haven't had much experience with it seeing that she is our first child.

Today was her first day back after one of her 3 week breaks. I enjoyed her being home for the past few weeks. We got to stay up late, sleep in, and play, play, play!

Elley loves school and I was worried she would miss it while she had this break. I asked her tonight if she was so glad to be back at school, and this is what she said.

"Well, I kind of like school, but I miss you for those 3 hours. I just like you more than I like going to school."

And that one moment made everything worth it! Nothing could of made me more happy than that one statement. I love that little girl more than anything!

Kissing My Boyfriend

The other day, as a family, we were making a trip to Costco. I got the girls all loaded up in the car and was about to get into the passenger seat myself, but before I got in, Adam came out into the garage and gave me a hug and a kiss. When I got into the car both Molly and Elley were teasing me about getting a kiss from their daddy.

*Giggles from the back seat.

"Mommy, we saw you and daddy kissing!"
(They always tease me about getting kisses from daddy)

With a big smile on my face, I turned around and said,

"No you didn't!"

It went on like that for about a minute until finally Molly said,

"that's okay mommy, when I'm married I'm going to kiss my boyfriend too!"

Love that little girl and all the cuteness she says!

Two Witches...and a Chick

I talked to my mother in law tonight, I love her so much! She told me she had been checking my blog to see if I had been updating it. I know, I know...I'm a little behind in the blogging department.

Halloween was a lot of fun this year. I love Halloween!!! The girls were so lucky and got to trick or treat 4 times. Once at out neighbors work, once at Daddy's work, once at our church and then on actual Halloween night.

These pictures might look a little familiar. Click HERE and you'll know what I mean. I opened up the Halloween box this year and last years costumes were right on the top. The girls took them out, tried them on, and said, "we want to be this for Halloween this year too!"

Okay then, WITCHES...take 2!

Except for this little bug. She really doesn't have a say yet....so I made her a chick! The cutest little chick EVER!!

Look at that little chick tail...LOVE IT!!
Her shoes squeaked too.

We also had a group of our friends over for dinner, a quick trip around the neighborhood for some trick or treating, and back to our house for homemade doughnuts. It was a great night. We have amazing friends. Until next year!!!

Miss Elley

My little Elley has a very big personality. She is the most social 5 year old I've ever met. I never have to worry about her having friends, she will make a friend where ever we are. The more friends the better. She is mostly a happy girl. I say mostly because everyone has their bad days. She is cheerful, playful, and loves being a kid.

Going to school is the best thing for her. She gets to be social, learn, and do all the fun things that go along with being in kindergarten. When I drop her off in the morning, I usually have to yell for her to come back and give me a kiss. She just gets so eager to meet up with her friends. I love that about her. I love that she's okay going off to school. That she loves to be social. That she loves having friends.

We just had our first parent/teacher conference this past week. She is doing fabulous! She is right on track even excelling in a few areas. She was even recognized the other day for being a respectful student. Her teacher told us that a classmate of hers was trying to get his things all gathered up and ready to go when he dropped his backpack and all of his papers fell all over the floor. This happened right as the class was trying to line up to meet parents at the end of the school day. Her teacher told us that all of the other kids were busy getting ready to head out the door when Elley saw that this little boy dropped all of his things. She put down her backpack and helped this classmate gather all of his things. Her teacher said she didn't even give it a second thought, she just did it!

What a sweet girl, I just love her.

I also asked her teacher if she was having a hard time with her social personality in the classroom? I did at this age, which resulted in some hard lessons learned. Her teacher told us that there was no problem at all. She knows when its okay to talk to her friends and when its time to pay attention. Thank goodness, that was a hard one for me to learn.

I bought some bandaids the other day...not just any bandaids, BARBIE bandaids. You should of seen the looks on the girls faces. You're pretty cool if you have a bandaid, but a Barbie bandaid. The girls kept asking me if they could have one and I kept telling them no, bandaids are for cuts, scrapes, and blood. Well, also for uncontrollable crying.....it's amazing what a bandaid can heal.
Later that day Elley was helping me empty the dishwasher. She had the pizza cutter in her hand and she was looking at it as if she had never seen one before. As she was looking at it, she asked me if I thought it could cut her finger. I said yes and asked her why.
"Because I really want a Barbie bandaid."
Yikes Elley! Here..... heres a Barbie bandaid. Don't cut yourself! :)

So glad she is a part of our family!!

Makeup Party

The girls got together with all their little friends the other day and had a makeup party. I loved sneaking up on them to take their pictures. They were so involved with makeup, it was like they didn't even know I was there. I mean, look at that concentration on Molly's face.

I was so worried that this lipstick was going to stain this little girl's face. She has fair skin already and it was pretty bright lipstick. No worries though, baby wipes did the trick.

These girls were naturals, like they instinctively knew what they were doing. Just look at that pucker!

Just love this little girl! That smile gets me every time!!!

One Set of Piggies, Two Sets of Piggies, Three Sets of Piggies

It's that time again. The time when my cute little bald baby's head turns into a mullet. I knew it was coming, it always does.

Here is Addison with her first set of piggies. It had to be done, her mullet was getting pretty fierce.

For your reading enjoyment I've included the links to Elley and Molly's first set of piggies too. See, every set of first piggies is blog worthy.

Addison has hair EXACTLY like Elley's....Exactly! It's straight, it only grows in the back for the first 2 years, and it's light brown.
