The CAKE

Grandma Arnold made apple pies for the party and Aunt Maggie made the cute little "E" for the top.

Elley's birthday cake

"Is this whole cake for me?"

"I can't believe my mom and dad are watching me do this, I'm having so much fun!!!"

"This tastes so good!"

"Everybody grab a fork and dig in!!"

Birthday party time

Elley's birthday party was a fun excuse for all of the family to get together. Aunt Maggie, Uncle Nathan, and Uncle Craig just happened to be in town that weekend so it was a good time to have a party. We are so lucky to live close to family and enjoy all the times we get to spend together.
Having said that, we love and miss our family we left behind in Washington a ton!!! We wish they would move to Idaho too.
Elley had so much fun opening all her presents. She got lots of bears which she loved. She also got a new Elmo toy, (she not so sure of the Elmo toy yet, Uncle Nathan did an Elmo impression that kind of scared her) a ball, bubbles, fisher price lantern toy, an ABC toy, some new clothes and a toy lawn mower. She sure is a lucky girl!!

Build-A-Bear Workshop

Grandpa and Grandma Arnold wanted to take Elley to Build-A-Bear Workshop
for her birthday. I didn't know how she would do because she was so young but she loved it. She actually pick out the bear she wanted. Grandma and I would both show her bears and she would either push them away or give them loves, it was pretty cute!

Here she is picking out an outfit for her bear

Here she is with Grandpa waiting for her bear to be filled

And here she is trying to be a big kid heading straight for the computers.

Brush my teeth Mommy

Elley has been a late sprouter when it comes to her teeth. She really hasn't had anything to brush. A few weeks ago, right before she turned one, her 4 top teeth showed up. I thought I should get her use to me brushing her teeth. She put up a little fight but for the most part she liked it.

January 18th 2007

One year ago today I had one of my prenatal doctor appointments. I was one week away from my due date with Elley and ready to pop. While I was there, my doctor did an ultrasound and found out that my fluid was a little low. Next thing you know I was being admitted and labor was induced. That was the beginning of a long labor. 25 hours later My Little Elley was born. So, obviously today is not her birthday but just wanted to post some pictures of one year ago!!!

Playing in the leaves

The weather in Arizona was a little "cold" during our visit. It actually rained while we were there, which was kind of fun. There were huge puddles everywhere and even a "lake" in front of David and Whitney's apartment. The last day we were there it was beautiful....that's the day we went out on the boat. When we got back we were all helping unload the boat and Elley was playing around in the front yard. As soon as she found the leaves she sat right down and started to play. These are some of the pictures I took before she got up to find bigger and better things. What a cute baby....if I do say so myself.
