Dad Moments

Adam gave Elley a bath this night and while combing out her hair, he decided to do this flock of seagulls look. And by the look on Elley's face I think she liked it.

This is a classic moment......I think there even was a football game on. I love how Elley is just using one hand...shes already a pro.

Just Some Cute Ones

This was a time when we went and played at the river. I think Elley and Macey are so cute together. I just hope they will be friends as they get older too.

Fair

This was the day we went to the fair. Elley loves animals and loved seeing them real and up close. She sees them in books all the time and likes to make all the animals sounds, so I was curious to see how she would do here. She walked around touching all the animals and made all the right noises....especially the cows (shes good at that one)

Pool Party

Adam went on a hike at the beginning of August with my 2 brothers Mark and Craig, my 2 nephews Colten and Brandon, and a guy from work. They were gone for 6 days and I was sure missing Adam. Good thing 4 days into the trip my dad came with my uncle and aunt. The day they came home, and before my brother and his 2 boys had to get back home, we had a BBQ and a pool party at my sister in law's parent's house. What a fun party it was...and THANKS to John and Marcia for always being so gracious when it come to their pool. Here are some pictures of the party!!!

Cute little Macey

Alan and Annemarie's visit

The first part of this month, we had some very special visitors come to our house. My mom's brother Alan and his wife Annemarie. This was a real treat because they live all the way in South Africa....so needless to say we don't see them very much. The last time I saw Auntie Annemarie was when I was still under a year old, so this was like meeting her for the first time. It was so nice having them around, my Uncle Alan has so many of my mom's mannerisms that at times, it felt like she was here. (she probably was) We laughed and played for almost 2 weeks and then they moved on to my sister's house. They will have been in the states for about 6 weeks when their trip is over. They flew into Seattle and have traveled with my dad to all of my sibling's houses.

Elley took to Annemarie immediately and loved every minute that they were here......although, the first picture would lead you to believe other wise. We played at the river, had a pool party, went to the fair, and played games until all hours of the night.....thanks Uncle Alan for "letting" me win so many times!!!! We love and miss you guys so much already.

Does anyone else hate maternity clothes?

I should be doing laundry!!! My daughter is sleeping and the house is quite....this is a perfect time to get some things done that I need to. I just need to get a few things off my back. Maternity clothes, really? Does anyone else feel the need to vent when it comes to these awful clothes? I think I've stained every maternity shirt I own. All the other maternity shirts I own are for the winter and that isn't coming fast enough. I am having a hard time keeping my pants up and can't seem to spend the money on some more pants that I'm only going to wear for 2 more months. And if I did buy some new pants I would probably wear them everyday for the next 2 months and wear them out, leaving me with no comfortable maternity pants for the next time! What am I to do? 2 more months....can I last that long?

And, one other thing before I get on with the day. My doctor gave me a sheet of paper last week titled "fetal kick count." Every day, now until the baby is here, I need to take a hour, count the number of kicks up to ten, then record it on this sheet of paper. If I don't get ten kicks in that hour I need to do it again for another hour. If in those two hours I don't get ten kicks, I need to go to the hospital and get monitored. Not to mention, I have to take this sheet to every doctor appointment from now on. Does this seem a little extreme to anyone else? I told my doctor that I thought this was a little extreme, I barely remember to take my prenatal vitamins, how am I going to remember to do a fetal kick count and record it? I'm going to try my hardest to do it....wish me luck!!!!

Tomatoes

This year we planted tomato plants. Me, being very skeptical, didn't think any would grow. I don't think I've ever tried growing anything before. Anyway, lucky me we have tomatoes! I love tomatoes, especially fresh from the garden.

I just thought this picture was cute

Here are my plants...I think they kind of look like weeds.

These are the cherry tomatoes

While watering tonight, Elley decided she wanted to pick some. So, while my back was turned she snatched 2 of the cherry tomatoes and 1 big one.....what a stinker!!!
