Spring Break with Ashley and Shayla

We were so lucky this spring break to have Ashley and Shayla visit us. Elley was in heaven with older girls around to spoil her. She would wake up every morning and ask for both of them. Mornings were hard because all Elley wanted to do was go get them up out of bed. Elley just couldn't understand that they stayed up later than her and wanted to use spring break for sleeping in.
We did lots of fun things....movies, food, swimming. We had lots of fun and hope they come back next year!
Here are some pictures of their trip here.

Like I said, Elley was in heaven with older girls to play with and Ashley and Shayla were so good about playing with the 2 year old. Although, I think Ashley had more fun dancing in the tutus than Elley did.

Little did we know that Shayla and Molly have the same coat. What cuties!

The girls being silly. We had a huge rain storm one morning while they were here......and what better thing to do.....go outside in it, and take the 2 year old. Elley loved it, I'm not sure why....maybe because I never let her go out in the rain or because Ashley and Shayla took her out.....in any case, she didn't want to come back inside.

Sometimes You Just Gotta Let Them Learn

Elley wanted a bowl of cereal last week for a snack. After she was done with her cereal she had some milk left. Usually she drinks the milk right out of the bowl making a milk moooostache and has a few giggles. Well, on this day she decided that fishy crackers would taste good in milk. There was some fishy crackers in a baggie on the table and she was pretty determined about putting them in the bowl. I live my life picking and choosing my battles......and she won this one!

Needless to say, she doesn't like fishy crackers as a cereal!

Bouncy House Fun

About a month ago, my brother Mark had a work BBQ over at his house. Most of the people that were coming had kids so he thought it would be fun to rent this bouncy house for the afternoon. Before the party started he invited us to come over and play. We stayed over for about an hour taking advantage of this fun toy. I sure enjoyed seeing Elley have so much fun, not only in the bouncy house, but with her cousins.
The ladder was a little tricky.... for the younger kids at least
All the kids loved going down all together. Adam would help them up and then push them down. Needless to say, Elley had a good nap that afternoon.

This picture is my favorite! I love the looks on their faces....it's priceless!

5 Months Old

I been on this kick lately of reading blogs about coupons and great deals in my area. Although I'm not a "couponer" I find it interesting how and why people put so much time and effort into getting deals. About a month ago fabulesslyfrugal.com had a post offering a free photography session with a photographer that was trying to build her portfolio. She was looking for children between the ages of 0-3. I went and checked out her site jammiesphotography.blogspot.com and I loved her pictures. So, I offered up my kids! This weekend, Jammie came over. That night she sent me an email that said she had posted some of Molly's pictures on her site. This one is my favorite, but you can go to her site to see them all.

A Long Time Coming

A little over 2 years and it was time to cut Elley's hair. She has such a mullet....but hey, what's not to love about a mullet?
Her little piggies were looking a little long and scraggly!

Not much, but a huge improvement!

Notice the toothpaste in her hand and in the first picture, the toothbrush hanging out of her mouth.....she loves to brush her teeth, and it's the only way to get her to sit still.
She's fine....she's got her toothpaste!

We Miss Our Maggie

Thank you Aunt Maggie for the fun Birthday gifts. Aunt Maggie always keeps Elley dressed in the cutest clothes. From the time she was born Maggie has pick some of the best outfits. For Elley's 2nd birthday Maggie sent her this cute dress and some shoes to match. When Elley opened the package she held the dress up to her and said, "oh, cute!" Thank you Aunt Maggie for keeping Elley in style and adding to her addiction of shoes!!!

Elley also loves her new MP3 player. She dances around to the music while saying, "mommy, daddy watch!"
And yes, those are scissors in her hands, she wanted to do it herself. She is very independent!

This is a picture we made to show Aunt Maggie how much we love her and miss her!
