Addison Baby

I feel so bad, I haven't posted many pictures of Addison on this blog. I feel like time is just slipping away from me. Addison is now 7 weeks old and these pictures were taken a few weeks ago. I'm still adjusting to life with 3 kids. I love it, but still trying to figure out balance. Not to mention that Addison has by far, been the worst sleeper out of the 3 girls. Up until this week I was getting about 3-4 hours of sleep TOTAL. She now has turned a corner and will finally get good chunks of sleep. It's amazing the difference between 3 hours of sleep, compared to 5. I really have never know true exhaustion until little Addison came along. You know, the exhaustion that makes you cry.

But, look how cute she is...shes totally worth it!!

Other than her sleep habits...which have taken a turn for the better, she is one sweet baby. She is now starting to smile which melts my heart. I have tons of pictures to post and lots to blog about

Uncle Shaune and the Car Wash

We are so excited to have more family here in this area. I love my family. Uncle Shaune and his family just moved here this last weekend. It's hard for me to even express how very happy this makes me!

One day last week, Uncle Shaune stopped by for a little visit. We already had the hose out for some reason and so Shaune decided to hose down his car from the dusty/dirty car ride from Washington. Little did he know, he was in for one of the biggest water fights...EVER!

The girls had so much fun!

We love you Uncle Shaune and we're glad you're here!

Rewind

When I was nearing the end of pregnancy number 3, my friend Brittney asked if I wanted or needed a baby shower. With it being my 3rd girl I suggested that instead of a "shower", we should just do a girls day. Pedicures, lunch, and good company sounded better than a baby shower...besides, I was all set for another girl! :)

Please excuse the swollen pregnancy feet!

After Pedicures we went to lunch at Chili's. The picture below is some of my very best friends. I hope they know how much I love them and how glad I am to be a part of their lives. I really truly have been blessed with some of the best friends I could ever ask for.

Also, a great sister, sister in law, niece, and yes....that boy is my nephew!

When we got home Molly, Elley, and Briley were a little jealous that we got pedicures and they didn't. So, here we are giving mini pedis to these 3 cute girls!!!

The morning of my scheduled induction I got a call saying the hospital was just to full for me to come in that day. Bummer!! Lucky us got to go swimming instead.

Elley and Molly have proven to be some great swimmers. Molly is fearless which gave us a little scare a few weeks ago when she got into the deep end of a pool with out a life jacket, water wings, or anyone watching. Lucky for us a friend of ours noticed and saved her. We still are not sure how long she was under the water, long enough to give us a huge scare. We are sure thankful that she is still here with us and she's okay. She still loves the water, and is still fearless. Swimming lessons are definitely in our future.

Maggie's Visit

We were so lucky to have Aunt Maggie come and visit us for 2 whole weeks after Addison was born! She is the BEST Auntie and spoiled us all rotten. She was a huge help to me as I was adjusting to life with 3 kids. She made Molly and Elley feel so loved while a whole lot of attention went to Addison. We love and miss her!

While she was here we did lots of fun things. One of them was a trip to the Nature Center. We love that place!!!

I love these cute girls!!

Picnic in the park

Maggie was such a good sport about playing with the girls. She played pretty much any game they would choose. They next 2 pictures was of them playing "camping" in the front yard. They also played "mommy and babies" a lot.

Come back soon Aunt Maggie, and next time bring Uncle Fernando!!!!

The 3rd and 4th of July

The weekend of the 3rd and 4th was a very special weekend for our family. Adam and I have been richly blessed when it comes to our families. I have the best in laws and so does he. We had many of our family member come into town to help us celebrate Addison. On Sunday, July 3rd, we blessed sweet Addison and had a big family gathering after. It was such a special day, Addison hardly made a peep and our families helped us out so much, they made the day a success!

The fourth of July found us with more family activities. That morning we made it down town to the parade...of course, we LOVE parades!! And, after the parade we had dinner with Adam's side with fireworks to follow.

Addison Rae

Yes, we had our baby! It's been a CRAZY 2 weeks but we have been having so much fun. We've had lots of family coming and going. We celebrated the 4th, and even had Addison's baby blessing. It's so special having so many family members that love us and love Addison. I have lots of pictures to post but for now, it's all about her birth.

I feel like such a bad mom putting off blogging about our cute little peanut, but honestly, I have been choosing sleep or time with my family over my blog. I really do want to shout from the roof tops about Addison and how perfect she is. And I'm sure, with many, many more blog post coming, you'll get sick of hearing just how perfect she really is!

Monday, June 20th, my doctor wanted to gel my cervix. I hadn't dilated or thinned out at all. The gel didn't do a darn thing....like put me into labor! On Tuesday, the next day I was scheduled to be induced at noon. Tuesday morning I got a call from the hospital saying there was no way they could get me in that day. So, I was pushed back to Wednesday morning at 7:30am.

7:30am June 22nd, 40 weeks and 4 days!

YAY! Today was the day.

Getting things started, obviously the contractions aren't bad from the looks of this picture. I had been on pitocin for a few hours when I got up to use the bathroom. While in the bathroom my water broke. When I got back in bed my contractions were out of control. I have no idea how women give birth naturally. No really, I don't! My epidural could not have come faster, and it was the best thing ever. I was able to relax and even get a little sleep before I started to push.

After my water broke and my epidural was in place, it was only a matter of hours before it was time to meet our little Addison. Everything happened so fast. I pushed for about 15 minutes before the doctor came in, and then for another 15 until out came our little girl. My doctor laid her on my chest and there she stayed. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Seeing my children for the first time is unforgettable.

The minute she was laid on my chest I knew she wasn't very big. I guess I was expecting a little bigger with her being 4 days late! She is just a little peanut!

This was another experience that I will never forget. Molly and Elley meeting Addison for the very first time. Elley walked into the hospital room and didn't even say hi to me. She said, "where's the baby?!" As you can tell from those great big smiles, they love their new sister! A few weeks later they still love her. Every morning they come into my room and without saying good morning to me they ask to hold Addison.

Addison meeting a few of her cousins. Louden, Macey, and Gavin

Macey is going to be the best cousin ever!

I just can't get enough of how happy Molly and Elley are to have a new little sister. Their smiles are just priceless!

Addison's first bath

After a quick overnight stay at the hospital, I was so ready to come home. I wanted my own bed, my own food, my house, and for my family to be all together!

We waited for what seemed like a long time for this little girl! She is all that I could of asked for and more. We love her more than words can express. She is just perfect in EVERY way!
