A Weekend Away

Last weekend , I had that chance to go away for the whole weekend! Originally, I was going to leave on Friday night and take Molly with me, but I am a nerd and forgot my "ticket" at home. My brother-in-law is a pilot and I was flying on one of his buddy passes. I was trying to fly out on the last flight of the night and when I realized I had forgotten the ticket, I was booked on one of the first flights of the morning. In my defence, I am a mother of 2 young kids.....I am bound to forget things sometimes....just wish it hadn't been the single most important thing I needed that night.
That night....after forgetting the ticket, I decided not to take Molly......didn't want to run the risk of forgetting her somewhere as well. Just kidding, I hope and pray in all my years to come in motherhood, I will NEVER forget my Molly.....I wont, she just too darn cute!
Adam is an amazing dad and he kept both girls for the weekend.
Saturday morning I flew to Arizona to be with my dad and his wife Judy for their special day.
They were sealed for time and all eternity.
After spending time with my family I got to spend the next few days with one of the closest friends I have....Becca! Adam and I met Becca and Jason when we lived in Washington. We all became quick friends and created more holiday memories than I can count. We love them, we miss them, and we wish we lived closer.

Becca's husband took care of their girls so Becca and I could go on a much needed shopping trip. It was so nice to be in an actual mall with good stores!

Yes, I actually whipped out the camera right in the middle of the mall to take a picture of one of my most favorite stores. I miss Janie and Jack soooo much. Janie and Jack use to be a 15-20 minute drive for me, now it's no where to be seen...for me anyway. I would buy clothes at Janie and Jack before I even had kids.....That's how much I love that store!

After a little bit of shopping, we decided to get some dinner. Becca took me to this place called Kona Grill. She loves sushi. I never had had really good suhsi, so she wanted me to try. It was really quite yummy. Thank you Becca for opening up a whole new world for me.

Little Meili holding one of their pet chickens. It was amazing to me, to see this little 3 year old girl, grab a hold of this chicken and carry it around like it was a kitten.

Jocelyn too! These chickens were so tame...and I still was a little scared.

the cute little family!

Thanks again guys for the fun weekend. I wish it could of been longer but I'll take what I can get!
