Molly Molly

A few pictures of my baby girl. She is growing up so fast. She is talking like crazy now, saying words like.....sister, thank you, bye, c'mon, nose, eyes, mouth, NO, yes, mama, dada, boys, (our dogs) dog, food, more, hi, night night, love you, grandpa, nana. It's so fun to hear her use new words everyday. She keeps us smiling! I love her so much and think she is the cutest little girl around!

She sleeps with this monkey and blanket every night. My dad's wife, Nana Judy, made her the monkey, and my friend Erin made her the blanket.

A few days ago at lunch, Molly thought it would be funny to put some of her sandwich in her ear. Maybe all the other kids were being to noisy? I don't know.....but come on Molly, just eat your lunch!!!!

Trying corn on the cob for the first time!!!

Only A Dollar

I love to garage sale. I love finding a good deal. I love the fun we have because of a good deal.

Last weekend, I picked up this Elefun game....for a dollar!

There are a lot of things in this life I wish I could buy with a dollar.......a gallon of gas, new shoes, a loaf of bread. But if someone told me I could buy these smiles with a dollar, I would of thought it was impossible.

I love these little girls!

A Weekend Away

Last weekend , I had that chance to go away for the whole weekend! Originally, I was going to leave on Friday night and take Molly with me, but I am a nerd and forgot my "ticket" at home. My brother-in-law is a pilot and I was flying on one of his buddy passes. I was trying to fly out on the last flight of the night and when I realized I had forgotten the ticket, I was booked on one of the first flights of the morning. In my defence, I am a mother of 2 young kids.....I am bound to forget things sometimes....just wish it hadn't been the single most important thing I needed that night.
That night....after forgetting the ticket, I decided not to take Molly......didn't want to run the risk of forgetting her somewhere as well. Just kidding, I hope and pray in all my years to come in motherhood, I will NEVER forget my Molly.....I wont, she just too darn cute!
Adam is an amazing dad and he kept both girls for the weekend.
Saturday morning I flew to Arizona to be with my dad and his wife Judy for their special day.
They were sealed for time and all eternity.
After spending time with my family I got to spend the next few days with one of the closest friends I have....Becca! Adam and I met Becca and Jason when we lived in Washington. We all became quick friends and created more holiday memories than I can count. We love them, we miss them, and we wish we lived closer.

Becca's husband took care of their girls so Becca and I could go on a much needed shopping trip. It was so nice to be in an actual mall with good stores!

Yes, I actually whipped out the camera right in the middle of the mall to take a picture of one of my most favorite stores. I miss Janie and Jack soooo much. Janie and Jack use to be a 15-20 minute drive for me, now it's no where to be seen...for me anyway. I would buy clothes at Janie and Jack before I even had kids.....That's how much I love that store!

After a little bit of shopping, we decided to get some dinner. Becca took me to this place called Kona Grill. She loves sushi. I never had had really good suhsi, so she wanted me to try. It was really quite yummy. Thank you Becca for opening up a whole new world for me.

Little Meili holding one of their pet chickens. It was amazing to me, to see this little 3 year old girl, grab a hold of this chicken and carry it around like it was a kitten.

Jocelyn too! These chickens were so tame...and I still was a little scared.

Jocelyn and Meili

the cute little family!

Becca and I
Thanks again guys for the fun weekend. I wish it could of been longer but I'll take what I can get!

Why I Love My Girls

It's been a while since I've posted anything about my girls and what they are up too. They certainly keep me very busy and everyday is a new adventure at our house. I can honestly say that I love life right now and all the joy that my two girls bring to it. They make me smile, they make me laugh, and they make me look at life with a child like wonder.
Our girl Elley is all girl all the time. I have no idea where she gets this from.....probably from her aunt Maggie! Elley loves make-up, nail polish, purses, lip gloss, dress up, and the color PINK. She watches me put make-up on and asks if she can do the same. And she's a big girl, so she can do it by herself. She also carries around a purse at all times, no really, at all times. Most kids her age sleep with a teddy bear, she sleeps with her purse. At night, if she gets scared, she'll come into our room carrying her blanket and her purse. We never leave home without it.
Molly, who is now 18 months old and eligible for nursery, is a little feisty. I have a love/hate relationship with the age of 18 months. I love that she is learning new things and saying new words, but it's so hard to keep up with her and her curiosity. She loves to empty everything including, cabinets, cupboards, and drawers. The cupboards under my sinks in the bathroom is her favorite. She also loves taking Elley's purse when shes not looking. Molly will wait for the opportunity when Elley puts it down, wait for Elley to notice, laugh when Elley screams, and then run away when Elley chases her.
I love it when the 2 girls play together. I love to hear their laughs and I love to see their smiles. Elley is a great big sister and I can tell that Molly is soaking up everything little thing Elley does....the good and the bad!

Elley is 3 years old and will be starting preschool this fall. She is excited for this because she is a little social butterfly. She talks about going to school all the time to do art projects. She also loves reading stories, and going to the library. We are lucky enough to have a library right down the street. We visit it often and love storytime. Last month I signed her up for preschool art where we went for 3 Fridays in a row. All the kids, with the teacher, would sing a song, read a story, and then do an art project. Elley had a great time, she loves art.

Molly loves riding on this little bike. Elley got this for Christmas 2 years ago and never really picked up on the pushing yourself with your feet as young as Molly has. I love this picture of Molly! It's rare to get a smile this big out of her and get a picture of it.
Life is good for us right now. We've had some unexpected obstacles happen lately but nothing that wont make us a stronger family. We are thankful for our good families, good friends, and our faith in Jesus Christ.
